Freshman Registration at AHS:

1. Per the AHS letter provided above, you should move forward with the online enrollment process that is available Nov. 4 - Dec. 9, 2024.  Open enrollment families should also complete the online enrollment even though you have not completed open enrollment paperwork to Arrowhead.  Please note there is a difference in online enrollment and open enrollment.
2. In February, the open enrollment application period begins through the WI DPI for the 2024-2025 school year.  In February, you will complete open enrollment paperwork if you reside outside of Arrowhead High School District and you want your child to attend Arrowhead. 
3. Some Lake Country School open-enrolled families will not need to fill out open enrollment paperwork through the WI DPI  because they reside in the Arrowhead High School District.  Lake Country School District is separate from the Arrowhead High School District. The easiest way to determine which school district you reside in is to look up your tax record by address on this County website: https://tax.waukeshacounty.gov/ - check the line items for  ARROWHEAD U H S 2450

ONLINE REGISTRATION:

Wednesday, February 12, 2025 starting at 5:00 p.m. through Friday, February 14, 2025 till 5:00 p.m - All Freshman must enter course requests online in Skyward during this time frame.  If you do not have your Skyward login, email hill@arrowheadschools.org or 262/369-3611 ext. 4114.

ACT Registration/Honors Information

AP Human Geography, English 9 Honors, and Science 9/ Biology Accelerated Block

Who should consider taking the ACT and possibly enrolling in these classes?
Students with a 1200+ lexile or 90+% tile (even 88%/ if highly motivated) on MAP reading
(Spring or Fall) OR

Students in the ADVANCED proficiency level on (English/Language Arts) Forward Exam

AND

Highly motivated and highly able readers and writers.

Additional information:
preACT REQUIRED by AHS for enrollment in honors/accelerated classes
No ACT score required for advanced math classes

Honors English 9

Students should have a preACT score of 22+ in Reading and 18+ in English.
 

AP Geography

Students should have a preACT score of 22+ in Reading.

Science 9/ Biology Accelerated Block
A BLOCK is two courses back-to-back. Students will complete Science 9 Accelerated first semester and complete Biology Accelerated second semester.
Students should score a 22+ in Reading & Science on the preACT.
You need to have completed or be enrolled in Geometry the same year as a requirement for Biology.
