Health Education
Health Education is an important part of every child’s development. Health education programs help to increase student knowledge and health literacy on a variety of issues and topics that will be applicable to life both inside and outside of the classroom.
This course was built following the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for Health Education with an emphasis on the following: Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Influences on our Health Behaviors, Accessing Valid Health Information, Communication Skills, Decision-Making Skills, Goal-Setting, Health-Enhancing Behaviors, and Health Advocacy.
