NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election is to be held in the School District of Lake Country School, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed. The term of office for a school board member is three years beginning on Monday, April 22, 2024.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in the office of the school district clerk or designee at 1800 Vettelson Road, Hartland, WI 53029.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that if a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a description of the school district boundaries can be obtained from the school district office or website. An acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote in this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Candidates May File Declarations of Candidacy —
The deadline for declaring candidacy is 5:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday in January. In order to be eligible to appear on the official ballot at the Spring Election, a candidate needs to file a declaration of candidacy and a campaign finance registration statement with the filing office identified in the district’s Notice of Election by no later than this deadline. In some school districts, nomination papers with a sufficient number of signatures must also be filed in order to qualify for the ballot. Nomination papers may not be filed prior to December 1. The appropriate forms can be obtained from the websites of the Wisconsin Elections Commission and the Wisconsin Ethics Commission, or from the school district’s main administrative office.
