Melissa Van Dyke is the 4-8 Instrumental and General Music teacher at Lake Country School. Programs under her direction include 4-8 strings, 5-8 band, band lessons,   film music and 6th grade general music. She also teaches private instrumental lessons outside of school hours.

Mrs. Van Dyke is in her 12th year at Lake Country School, and her 18th year as a music educator. She holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from UW Eau Claire and a Masters in Music Education from UW Madison, where she also served as supervisor to student teachers in the field. 

When not teaching, Mrs. Van Dyke can be found trying to tame her crazy garden, hiking, reading, spending time with her daughter Evey, husband Jared, and dutch shepherd mix Strider, over-decorating for Halloween, writing a novel, building Harry Potter Legos, and listening to nerdy podcasts.
