Melissa Van Dyke is the 4-8 Instrumental and General Music teacher at Lake Country School. Programs under her direction include 4-8 strings, 5-8 band, band lessons,   film music and 6th grade general music. She also teaches private instrumental lessons outside of school hours.

Mrs. Van Dyke is in her 14th year at Lake Country School, and her 20th year as a music educator. She holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from UW Eau Claire and a Masters in Music Education from UW Madison, where she also served as supervisor to student teachers in the field. 

When not teaching, Mrs. Van Dyke can be found trying to tame her crazy garden, hiking, reading, spending time with her daughter Evey, husband Jared, and dutch shepherd mix Strider, over-decorating for Halloween, and listening to nerdy podcasts.
