The Board of Education has designated a period of time for public participation. Comments may deal with any topic (not on the agenda) related to the Board of Education’s governance of the school. Requests for future agenda items may also be made. During the Citizen Comment section each participant will be limited to an appropriate amount of time determined by the Board of Education President, or other presiding officer. The President will also be responsible for maintaining proper order, for adherence to any time limits, and for recognizing as many speakers as time allows, who will be asked to properly identify themselves and their place of residence. Personal criticism and/or derogatory remarks will not be tolerated. The Board of Education will not engage in active discussion or take action however they may ask clarifying questions. Please refer to the Board Meeting Registration Form 187(a) (Series 100). The maximum number of speakers at a Board Meeting/Special Board Meeting is twelve. No more than two people may speak on any one side of an issue.
To speak on a topic on the agenda, you will need to notify the board president that you would like to speak during the time in which the agenda item is discussed by completing the Board Meeting Registration Form 187(a) (Series 100).
